self-care.Description OverviewWe are currently looking for a
Director Insights & Analytics - Brands & Strategic Growth
Initiatives to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI or Morristown, NJ.
This is a hybrid role including three days in the office.
- Be the subject matter expert and evangelist to tirelessly and
relentlessly represent voice of shopper and consumer.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to Brand Marketing and
R&D - willing to challenge legacy thinking, drive new research
approaches, and offer a point of view as a business leader, not
just an insights leader.Scope of the Role
- Provide thought leadership and collaborate with stakeholders in
brand, innovation, digital, and agency, surfacing insights and
analytics to further promote data-driven decision-making
organizationally.
- Work with Brand Marketing teams to develop deep understanding
of target consumers, differentiated brand positionings and defined
portfolio architecture.
- Lead learning agenda development and execution of research for
strategic brands and categories and lead front end innovation
process in partnership with R&D and Marketing.
- Manage the knowledge necessary to educate and embed shopper,
consumer and customer insights into Perrigo's go to market
strategies.
- Define performance management strategy for the Brands and
establish KPIs to measure and improve effectiveness of marketing
investments. Recommend optimizations to marketing and media plans
based on data analysis and consumer learning.
- Build the reports and external partnerships needed to maintain
understanding of consumer, shopper and market trends by using tools
such as Circana, Kantar, Mintel and bespoke research.
- Independently own end-to-end creation of insights presentations
from storyline through final edits, including C-level
materials.
- Identify best research vendors through appropriate RFP process
and manage vendors from research design, fieldwork, analysis,
reporting presentation delivery and ensuring data accuracy.
- Manage professional development for one direct report with
responsibilities for Store Brand OTC insights.Experience Required
- Typically these skills are obtained with a Bachelor's degree in
Business, Marketing, Analytics/Statistics or closely allied field
(Master's degree preferred) along with 12+ years of proven
performer experience in an Insights position within CPG industry -
healthcare/self-care experience preferred.
- Experience working with performance marketing metrics and
agencies to advise on agile approaches that inform data-driven
decision making.
- Experience in shopper & consumer research methods, activation
of insights and development of business implications across the
full path to purchase.
- Demonstrated ability to work across many teams to drive
outcomes with insights particularly in a matrixed environment.
- Experience in managing and cultivating a direct report.
- Superior communication skills and the ability to visually tell
a story and advise business partners as the voice of the shopper
and consumer.
- Ability to multitask several projects at once with strong
project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead executive management initiatives
with reporting of actionable insights.
- Experience in facilitating ideation based on insights
preferred.
- Experience in health care industry preferred.
