Job Description:

Bistro Monadnock, a modern French Bistro in Chicago's South Loop area, is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team.We are looking for a strong leader who can perform calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment, and share our passion for genuine hospitality and creating memorable experiences with food and beverage.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain food cost goals by demonstrating a proactive awareness of station par levels, food rotation, proper labeling, and waste management.
  • Adhere to recipe and food presentation specifications and portion control.
  • Work efficiently with a constant sense of urgency and maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and a clean, professional image.
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment.
  • Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
  • Hold an ANSI-accredited Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or SERV Safe Food Handler Certification.Requirements:
    • Must have line cook experience in a systems-based, full-service, high-volume, scratch kitchen restaurant setting.
    • Must be available to work various hours, days, and shifts, including nights and weekends.
